Ruins of Fort Bowie, a Nat'l Historic Site, Arizona. Some 30 structures were part of this camp, established in 1862 to protect immigrants traveling west. It stands at the eastern entrance to Apache Pass and guarded the most dangerous spot on the westward move. [Photographer's caption]
