Climax of the Navaho Loop hike is this series of switchbacks that brings visitors up from the depths of Wall Street. Naturalists explain that the slanting marks on the wall at the left demonstrate vividly how the Bryce rim is receding (they tell visitor at a rate of a foot every 50 years). Marks were made by running water.
