Front of the Jackrabbit Trading Post as it appeared in the early 1960s. Note the painted Indian blankets and kachinas along the front, as well as the large jackrabbit above the door and the smaller rabbits on the roof edge. Route 66 ran past the front, and the parking lot was dirt at the time. The Jackrabbit Trading Post is west of Joseph City and about 10 miles east of Winslow on the 1940s alignment of Route 66.
