Goosenecks of the San Juan River, southern Utah Cliffs, 1200 feet high have been cut by the stream in an intricate meander. One mile of distance is achieved in six miles of river travel. The center bend is 3 miles around & less than 100 yards at its narrowest. [Caption by Josef Muench]
