Ruins of Tuzigoot National Monument, near Clarkdale, Arizona. Remnants of a prehistoric Indian pueblo, partially excavated, stand on a limestone ridge in fertile Verde River Valley. It was built between 1125 and about 1400 A.D. Tuzigoot, an Apache Indian word means 'Crooked Water.'
