McKee - Supai baskets, 1973. [The rare double-bowl basket on the left (#12) was made by Dottie Crozier Watahomigie, 1883-1937, a Hualapai who married a Havasupai man. She was well-known for her unusual animal designs, including the dog and the owl on this basket. McKee book, page 106.] [The basket on the right (#13) is also the unusual double-bowl form, used for holding fruit or corn. It was made in September of 1934 by Edith Manakaja Putesey, born in 1909.
